Privacy policy
MyAlbionDB is an independent community site maintained by Dylan Dabrowski. This policy explains the information used by the website and its connected services. Contact the maintainer with privacy or account-data requests.
Browsing and hosting
You can browse public pages without an account. Hosting infrastructure processes request information such as IP address, user agent, URL, and technical errors to deliver and protect the site. The site uses Vercel hosting and may store account and contribution records in Neon PostgreSQL.
Vercel Web Analytics measures aggregate usage, including page views, referring sites, browser and device categories, and approximate geography. Vercel describes Web Analytics as using no cookies and no persistent identifier across sites. See Vercel's analytics privacy documentation and privacy policy. Hosting logs are separate from those aggregate analytics.
Accounts and contributions
Signing in with Google or GitHub supplies account information such as your name, email address, profile image, and provider identifier. Authentication uses session cookies. MyAlbionDB uses account information to associate builds, edits, and feedback with their author, restrict administration, and limit spam.
Submitted builds and approved wiki contributions may become public, including their displayed author name. Feedback and pending wiki submissions are available to site administrators. Do not include confidential information in content intended for publication. The site does not need your Albion password or game account credentials.
Optional moderation assistance
If the operator enables AI-assisted moderation, administrators may send submitted article text, titles, summaries, source links, and edit notes to OpenAI for a review aid. The assessment does not automatically approve publication. Do not include secrets or private personal information in article submissions. See OpenAI's privacy policy for its service practices.
Browser storage and preferences
A region preference cookie remembers Americas, Europe, or Asia for up to one year. Browser local storage can remember recently viewed pages, market filters, and tool preferences. Signing out does not necessarily clear local storage. You can remove these preferences and authentication cookies through your browser's site-data settings.
Market data, images, and external links
Market tools request community observations from the Albion Online Data Project. Item and ability artwork may load from Albion rendering services. External services receiving a direct browser request receive the network information needed to answer it, such as your IP address and request headers.
Google, GitHub, Vercel, Neon, Albion services, and Buy Me a Coffee have their own privacy policies. Donations are handled by Buy Me a Coffee and its payment providers. MyAlbionDB does not collect payment-card information through this site.
Advertising and consent
Advertising is disabled by default. When the operator enables Google AdSense, Google and its partners may use cookies, local storage, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to deliver, measure, and personalize advertising. Google's advertising cookies can support personalized ads based on visits to this site and other sites.
Where applicable, a consent message must be available before advertising is enabled. Use that message to accept, reject, or change choices. The operator must configure the appropriate Google-certified consent platform for visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland before serving ads there. Enabling an environment setting alone does not create a consent platform.
Visit Google My Ad Center to manage personalized advertising and read how Google uses information from partner sites. Browser controls and blocking tools can also restrict third-party storage.
Retention and your choices
Account, submission, and moderation records are kept while needed to operate the account, publish contributions, and handle abuse or corrections. Retention depends on the record and provider; this site does not promise a fixed deletion period. Published edits may remain in article history after an account-data request where needed to preserve the reference.
You can browse without signing in, clear browser site data, and request access, correction, or deletion of account information through the contact page. Requests may require verification of account ownership. Provider backups and security records may be subject to their own retention arrangements.
Provider services may process data outside your country. This policy will be updated when the site's data practices change. The date above identifies the latest policy update.
